"Vivid Sydney"

So yesterday my two best friends and I went to vivid. Let me tell you, it was nothing like we expected in all the wrong ways. So first we missed our 5:34 train . The train doors closed and Chantelle started walking down  the stairs. So we got the next train which arrived at Circular Quay at 7:20 ish. There were so many people it was like  new years eve! Everyone was pushing and shoving and it was one huge game of twister. We planned that we would see all the lights at circular quay and then have dinner and go to darling harbour. We got to see majority of circular quay and then we went looking for a place to eat dinner. All the restaurants were jam packed and the line was HUGE! We finally decided to go into an Italian restaurant and pizzeria. The experience I had there made me re-evaluate everything about sydney restaurants. The food arrived an hour late and that too after asking where it was. The people who were in front of us in the line had already eaten their meal and gone home and we were still waiting. Very disappointing. We ordered three pastas. Chantelle's was COLD, Yafa's was overdosed in chilli and mine was so hot there was steam coming out like it was on the stove. No sense of temperature regulation what so ever. We weren't the only ones disappointed, a couple were sitting to our left after hours of waiting. We spent 2 and a half hours in the restaurant, by the time we got out it was after 10 something, there was no time to go to Darling Harbour where majority of the lights were. So we started to walk to the station, we wanted to get an ice cream on the way and nearly died at the price. A billabong for $8.89. I can get two boxes with that money T_T. So we got on the train to home, or so we thought. Suddenly the train stops at Easthills and was like "train terminates here" we all ran out of the train. it was 11:15 ish and we saw the macarthur train pulling up on the other side, already half way. We never ran so fast in our lives. I bolted up the stairs with Yafa and Chantelle behind me, just as i got in front o the train it was like "doors closing please stand clear" i was about to cry, there was no one on the platform, three girls alone at 11:15 at night.  I said to the guard "can i go in" he nodded. THANK GOD! Us three got in and then he closed the door! That guy deserved an award. By the time I got home it was 11:47.
It was a completely hectic day, not what we planned but still a lovely memory. Its always these unexpected things that make it into a memorable memory. The good thing was we got a good laugh and got to spend quality time with each other.
