The small things around us.

So, one of the many things i do when i log onto the net is go on tumblr.
For those of you who live under a rock and have no idea what tumblr is, its a site where you can basically find amazing and lovely gifs and photographs about EVERYTHING in the god damn world, and i mean EVERYTHING.
Tumblr is known for its quirky and hipster photos. Most of these photos are actually photographs of everyday things such as a street lamp, or a light post or just a random ally that we never walk through in fear of getting raped. It always so happens, that these are the photographs that seemed to get reblogged the most.
But that made me think, all these "amazing" and "beautiful" places or things are all around us and it has come to the point that we only "see" and realise the beauty of these small things when they are photographed and put right in front of us. Why don't we ever stop in the middle of the street to appreciate the flowers or walk through that perfectly safe brick paved road and appreciate the beauty of all the small things around us. Why is that we only appreciate this via the computer?
I just find that really sad. I mean i too am a culprit of this. I just saw a photo on tumblr of a small ally and I'm like damn thats so nice, i wish there was something like that here. Well, there is, and i walked passed it the other day but never took notice of it because i was too busy doing something that probably wasn't that important.
So my message to all you guys out there is, look around. Open your eyes, go on that street you have never been on, go to the coffee shop you thought looked weird, or go and sit in that isolated park. Open your eyes to see the small things in life that make it so beautiful.

Signing off.
Forger. xo.
